Family Ranks are a seven-piece collective fusing soul, hip-hop, electronica and reggae. They have quickly established themselves as a distinguished act on the Manchester scene. They have recently supported Natty on his 'Release The Fear' UK Tour, played at the Craig Charles curated ‘Mostly Jazz Festival’ and have also performed at events such as The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, ILuvLive and Sounds From the Other City.

After radio play on BBC Introducing Manchester, their first single ‘Hard To See Her Soul’ was selected for BBC Introducing on Radio 1Xtra and playlisted for the month of April 2016. After the success of the single, the band released their EP 'Speak Up' on 11th April 2016 which has received great attention from both fans and critics. ‘Hard To See Her Soul’ and ‘She’ also received airplay on Tom Robinson’s Introducing show on BBC Radio 6 Music in 2016. This was followed by a sold out headline show at Deaf Institute in Manchester in August. They joined the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club for two sold out dates in September and October 2016 in Liverpool and Manchester. In January 2017 they will be supporting Manchester reggae superstars ‘Extra Love’ at The Deaf Institute. April sees them joining Hot 8 Brass Band as opening act for part of their UK tour.
